in Blood
Anemia is a condition where there is a lower than normal number of red blood cells in the blood, usually measured by a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin. " It is a common problem for cancer patients and often results from the therapies used to suppress or control tumors. Anemia is associated with fatigue

The primary symptoms are the same as the symptoms which are associated with all types of anemia which include tiredness and fatigue. Other symptoms can include chest pain, cold hands and feet, dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, and pale skin.

Although there are over 400 types of anemia, many are rare with only about a dozen being routinely seen in the United States. Even so, over 3.5 million Americans are affected by anemia. Medically speaking, anemia is not a disease on its own but rather a symptom of other disorders.

In anemic persons, the count of hemoglobin in the blood goes down. Hemoglobin is composed of heme, which is an iron complex, and a protein named globin. If iron is lacking in the diet, then heme will not be formed and so also hemoglobin. The main function of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen to different parts of the body. Hence in absence of hemoglobin, the blood will not be able to provide oxygen to all parts of the body, which will lead in a characteristic weakness.

There is a hereditary type of anemia called as the pernicious anemia. People with this condition are not able to absorb vitamin B12 in their bloodstream effectively. Hence vitamin loss occurs.

Anemia is a blood disorder that is created when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells. These cells are the main transporters of oxygen to organs. If red blood cells are also deficient in hemoglobin, then your body is not getting enough iron.

And yet, not everyone by any means suffers from anemia. Even members of your own family, who eat the same as you, may not have the same problem. So what's going on

If you require regular anemia treatment, then it shows that your health is out of balance. Unless you are eating very badly, it probably isn't from a deficiency of iron in your diet. It's more likely because you can't absorb the iron.

And once the source problem is known it can often be treated by you. The obvious trigger is diet related in which the treatment revolves around a high iron and vitamin rich diet.

This substance is responsible for moving oxygen from one area of the body to all the other areas of the body. There are many reasons why a person may develop this medical condition. The most common causes are vitamin and mineral deficiencies, complications in the digestive tract, and even complications associated with the proper absorption of medications.

Were you aware that you can become anaemic from the use of certain prescription medications? This includes some antibiotics or anti-coagulants which help to thin the blood. Sometimes anaemia may be due to suffering a chronic illness or you may acquire it genetically. So it is useful to determine what has caused you to become anaemic in the first place.
